Major (Retd) Mohd. Akhtaruzzaman is a valiant Freedom Fighter and a pioneer businessman in Poultry, Dairy, Fishery and Agriculture in Bangladesh. He served in the Bangladesh Army for 16 years and joined in business after his retirement. He built up a private security company in 1986 and his company was responsible for Security of the US Embassy from 1987 till 2001. The Company also took care of the security of the Saudi, Japan, Norwegian embassies and some other local and foreign missions and offices.
He started agro business in 1996 and established GAFL, a pioneer agriculture Farm in Bangladesh. GAFL is an integrated Poultry, Dairy, Fishery, Forestry and basic agriculture Farm. He got National Awards in 1995 and 1996. Major Akhtar is a graduate and nationally well-known personality in business and politics in Bangladesh. He has plenty of published writings on business, politics, finance, banking, education and civil life. He is also an active member in FBCCI, Kurmitola Golf Club, RAOWA and other civil clubs and institutions. He is the founder of many colleges, schools and educational institutions in the country.
He is a widely traveled person and has visited almost all the countries in Asia, USA, Australia, UK, France, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Denmark and South Africa. He is by hobby an architect and construction Engineer, designed many mega projects to build new Dhaka and also supervised many big building constructions. He is also a reputed paddy and jute seeds grower and seeds of his own brand are in big demand.
Major Akhtar is now devoted to building a hi-tech organic food industry including sprout feed for chicken and cattle. He is now fully committed to bring out GAFL from its present devastating position and raises it as a profit earning venture for the interest of all shareholders and also to bring out GAFL from default list by paying all loans and dues.
Mrs Salma Zaman

Mrs. Salma Zaman has been a leading woman entrepreneur since 1986. She also joined in active business with her husband and was independently looking after procurement, supply and logistics of Security Company and GAFL as well from the inception of those companies. She has also traveled to many countries with her husband. She is mother of two sons and grandmother of six children. She is working relentlessly to bring out the company from its present state.
